The COSC warmly congratulates all the artisans, specialists, and partners involved in the creation of Naissance d’une Montre 3—a landmark watchmaking project that brilliantly affirms the vitality and relevance of traditional craftsmanship.

The result of nearly 11,000 hours of work and the collaboration of more than 80 artisans, Naissance d’une Montre 3 follows in the footsteps of the master watchmaker Ferdinand Berthoud. Crafted entirely by hand, without digital assistance, it embodies the motto engraved on the back of its movement:

“Au temps qui instruit ” (To the lessons of time)

Presented in September 2025, this unique piece immediately captured the admiration of the watchmaking world. Its success was marked by a record-breaking auction result, a prestigious award, and an exemplary certification process—testament to an unwavering commitment to both technical and heritage excellence.

The COSC had the pleasure of awarding chronometer certification to the FB-BTC.FC caliber, whose performance far exceeded the required criteria.
